TURKEY : Turkish Airlines has increased service between Amman and Istanbul as part of their route expansion program. Came into effect with their summer schedule which was announced earlier this month, the Turkish national carrier now operates 14 flights per week to Jordan, compared to the previous schedule of 11 flights per week.

Turkish Airlines acaba de aumentar el servicio entre Amman y Estambul como parte de su programa de ampliación de rutas. Esta ampliación coincide con su programación de verano anunciada a principios de este mes. La compañía aérea de bandera turca opera ahora 14 vuelos semanales a Jordania frente a los 11 semanales anteriormente programados.

Air Canada y Turkish Airline firman un acuerdo bilateral


For the first time, an air transport agreement is in place to allow scheduled flights to operate between Canada and the Republic of Turkey. Canada's Transport Minister, John Baird, announced (20-Mar-09) the successful conclusion of an air transport agreement between the two countries.

Starting 15-Mar-09 the flight of Turkish Airlines to Mashad (Iran) will be operated 3 times a week. As a part of an expansion program, Turkish Airlines has launched a new direct flight to Mashad, one of the biggest cities of Iran.

TURKEY : Travel agents attending ASTA's 2009 International Destination Expo (IDE) in Sun City, South Africa (8 to 11-Mar) and who register on-site to attend the 2010 event in Istanbul (19 to 22-Apr) will be eligible to receive a complimentary 4-night hotel package at one of six 5-star hotels. Additionally, Turkish Airlines is offering 2010 travel agent delegates who are flying from the United States (New York or Chicago) a special fare of USD400 to Istanbul and once there, USD50 add-on fees to select domestic destinations. International attendees will receive 25% off all applicable roundtrip airfares on Turkish Airlines.

TURKEY : Turkish Airlines will increase the number of flights departing from Istanbul to various international cities. The carrier will also increase the flight frequencies to New Delhi, Mumbai, Brussels, Venice, Helsinki, Basel, Dublin, Kuwait and Addis Ababa in Africa.

TURKEY : Turkish Airlines launched a new direct service between Istanbul and Birmingham on 15-Dec-08. The airline operates either an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 aircraft on the route with a cargo payload of up to 2,000 kilos per flight. Flights depart the UK Midlands airport every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

TURKEY : Turkish Airlines will launch flights to Nairobi (Kenya), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Dakar (Senegal) and Lviv (Ukraine) from Istanbul. Having flights to Beirut already five times a week, Turkish Airlines will increase flight frequency to seven days a week to capital of Lebanon.

TURKEY : Turkish Airlines has leased 3 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft for its long haul flights. With the addition of Boeing 777-300 ER leased from Jet Airways, Turkish Airlines will start serving First Class.
