UNITED KINGDOM : British Airways is further expanding its network at London City Airport with the launch of a new service to Dublin and increased frequency on some existing routes. The new three-a-day Dublin service will begin on 01-Jun-08 1, providing an important air link between the two capital cities for both business and leisure passengers.

UNITED KINGDOM : British Airways announced it is boosting services from London to New York JFK by launching daily flights from Gatwick on 27-Oct-08. The new flights mean that the airline will operate 62 flights each week from the capital to JFK as the Gatwick flights will operate in addition to its current 55 weekly flights from Heathrow.

UNITED KINGDOM : BAA and British Airways announced that the planned move of the airline's long haul services from Heathrow’s Terminal Four (T4) to Terminal Five (T5) will be deferred until Jun-08.

UNITED KINGDOM : AerCap Holdings announced that its subsidiary, AeroTurbine, entered into a component purchase and sale agreement and a component lease agreement with British Airways. Under the agreements, AeroTurbine will purchase British Airways’ entire stock of wheels and brakes for the Boeing 737, 757, 767, 777, and 747-400 and will lease the same back to British Airways for a period of between six years and ten years, in line with British Airways’ fleet renewal plans.
