British Airways World Cargo has appointed Cargo Care International as its general sales agent (GSA) in Denmark, following a successful tender process. The agreement came into effect in March 2009.

In a deal understood to be a US industry first involving two carriers, British Airways World Cargo has signed a general sales agent (GSA) agreement with Tampa Cargo, one of the leading cargo carriers in Latin America.
British Airways World Cargo acaba de firmar un acuerdo con Tampa Cargo, compañía cargo líder en Latinoamérica, para ser un Agente General de Ventas (GSA). Este acuerdo que entrará en vigor el próximo 18 de mayo de 2009, permitirá a BA World Cargo comercializar en Estados Unidos y originar capacidad de carga a través de la totalidad de la red operativa de Tampa Cargo, a excepción de Miami.

In Mar-09, passenger capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometres, was 0.9% above Mar-08. Traffic, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres, fell by 7.3%. This resulted in a passenger load factor decrease of 6.4 points, versus last year, to 72.7%. Traffic comprised a 13.0% decrease in premium traffic and a 6.0% fall in non-premium traffic.
