British Airways World Cargo has announced the launch of a third daily Dubai passenger service as part of its Winter schedule. There is just one change to the long-haul freighter programme with the London Stansted - Hong Kong rotation, which will see Munich replace Cologne from 29-Oct-08.

British Airways World Cargo has announced a reduction to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.60 / USD0.90 / EUR0.90, with effect from 03-Nov-08. Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, said: As a result of the continued decline in fuel costs we are reducing the fuel surcharge by three levels, in line with our index.

British Airways dropped (15-Oct-08) its fuel surcharge by as much as GBP13. Passengers will pay GBP13 less on longer sectors and GBP10 less on shorter sectors. Additionally, passengers will pay GBP6.50 less on longer sectors and GBP5 on shorter sectors.

British Airways will start flights to the Caribbean islands of St Kitts and Nevis this winter. Weekly flights on Saturdays from Gatwick to St Kitts will start on 10-Jan-09.

British Airways completed the second phase of its transfer of longhaul services from Terminal 4 to Terminal 5, increasing the number of flights per day at the terminal from around 420 to 480. Terminal 5 has now looked after ten million customers on more than 75,000 flights.
