(XFN Asia) Spanish airlines are facing growing pressure on their domestic routes from the expansion of the country's high-speed railway network, which the government says will be the world's most extensive by 2010. State-owned railway operator, Renfe, opened a bullet train service between Madrid and Malaga on the Mediterranean coast in Dec-07, and between the Spanish capital and Barcelona two months later.

HUNGARY : Malév, the Hungarian national airline, resumed scheduled flights between Toronto and Budapest on 26 May. The direct Toronto-Budapest route is covered by two-class, 229-seat Boeing 767-300ER type aircraft operating five times a week.
