Airstream has arranged a secured loan facility for Flybe to finance spare Pratt and Whitney PW150A engines. These engines are used by Flybe to support their fleet of Bombardier Q400 aircraft. The financing was provided by a European financial institution.

At the MRO Middle East in Dubai, Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, and Lufthansa Technik, the leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the aviation industry, signed a base maintenance contract for Oman Air’s fifteen Boeing 737 NG aircraft.

Finnair launched a new interline agreement with Australian airline, Jetsar, expanding the network connections in the Asia-Pacific area. The cooperation started in December 2010 and allows customers to purchase a Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Valuair or Jetstar Pacific flight as part of a single integrated transaction and travel itinerary through Finnar’s distribution network and sold on a Finnair e-ticket.

airberlin, LTU and VC (Vereinigung Cockpit), the German pilots’ union, today accepted the collective labour agreement that had already been agreed on 22 December 2010.

The Association of European Airlines, representing Europe’s most important network carriers, has expanded its membership to 36 from the beginning of January, with the addition of airberlin. Airberlin is Germany's second largest airline and Europe's sixth largest airline in terms of passengers.
