Transaero Airlines has launched a new regular domestic route from Moscow to Blagoveshchensk in the Russian Far East. The new flight is Transaero’s 15th domestic route and another step in the company’s domestic route expansion strategy.

Transaero Airlines has taken delivery of its second Tupolev 214 mid range passenger aircraft. This transfer is a part of a contract between Transaero and Financial Leasing Company (FLC) for ten Tupolev 214 aircraft.

Transaero announced a five year, multi-million dollar agreement with aviation IT specialist SITA for its passenger management system. The agreement includes the provision of SITA Reservations, Ticketing, Departure Control Services, Revenue Management and Airfare.

Transaero Airlines has dropped (28-Oct-08) its fuel surcharges for scheduled flights to Europe. This affects all regular flights from Moscow to Austria, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Spain and the United Kingdom as well as flights from St. Petersburg to Germany and Spain.
