Given the record price of oil, which currently exceeds USD130 per barrel and is expected to stay at this level for some time, Czech Airlines is increasing the fuel surcharge, commencing 01-Jun-08. The fuel surcharge will increase to EUR85 on the two long-haul flights to New York and on the seasonal flight to Toronto. On medium-haul flights, the surcharge differs according to the length of the route and the situation in individual markets. On average, it is in the range of EUR25.

Starting from 13-May-08, Estonian Air introduces fuel surcharge in the amount of 10EUR (155 EEK) on the scheduled Helsinki, Vilnius and Kuressaare-Stockholm routes and 15EUR (235 EEK) on the rest of the scheduled services.
