Japan Airlines will expand its code share network with Air France (AF) that currently connects Japan to 11 other destinations in Europe via Paris. From 07-Jul-2009, JAL will start code sharing flights operated by Air France between Paris and Istanbul. Reservations for this code share flight will begin on the same day, 07-Jul-2009.

Korean Air placed firm orders with Airbus for two more double-deck A380 aircraft. This latest purchase agreement brings the total number of A380s ordered by Korean Air to ten aircraft. The carrier will operate the aircraft in a three-class layout on routes linking Seoul to destinations in North America and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York and Paris.
