IRELAND :
Aer Arann has launched its summer schedule which will see the return of the airline’s routes to La Rochelle, Nantes and Lorient in France from Cork beginning on May 30th. The airline will also be re-introducing its flights to Jersey and Southampton from Cork on the day.

Inverness Airport’s popular air link to Dublin is being reinstated for summer 2009 by operator Aer Arann. The service, which was launched in 2006, was suspended over the winter months following a route review by the airline. Aer Arann has confirmed that the route will operate from the end of March through to Oct-09.

Aer Arann will be a new airline at London City Airport when it commences scheduled air services from the Isle of Man on 19-Jan-09. The carrier will operate three times daily flights with its 72-seat new-generation ATR72-500 aircraft, pending certification.

The Chairman of Aer Arann, Padraig O’Ceidigh, has announced the appointment of Paul Schütz as the airline’s Chief Executive Designate. He will take over as Chief Executive on 01-Jan-09, and on the same day Aer Arann’s current CEO, Garry Cullen, will become a non executive Board Director.
