Preliminary results of SAS AB's rights issue, for which the subscription period ended 6 April 2009, indicate that approximately 98.6% of the offered shares were subscribed for with subscription rights and approximately 24.7% were subscribed for without subscription rights. Thus, the rights issue is oversubscribed by approximately 23.3% , and the underwriting commitments do not need to be utilised.

SAS Group's traffic decreased by 16.7 % during March and seat capacity was down 3.9% vs. 2008. SAS Group carried 2.2 million passengers in March, down 9.3% vs. 2008. Total passenger load factor in February was down by 9.9 p.u. to 64.5%.

As earlier stated, in conjunction with the launch of the new governance structure for the SAS Group, SGS Finland is subject to an individual process for divestment or outsourcing. The SAS Group confirms that discussions regarding a possible take over of SGS Finland are currently ongoing with ISS.

Mats Lonnqvist will assume the position of CFO and Deputy President of the SAS Group on 01-Jan-09. He replaces Gunilla Berg, who has held the position since Sep-02.

The SAS Group has signed (18-Dec-08) an agreement to sell its 47,2% holding in airBaltic to the management of airBaltic. The sales price amount to SEK 220million will be paid in cash no later than 31-Jan-09.
