It is now even easier to travel with SAS Scandinavian Airlines, as the airline has introduced mobile boarding passes. This means SAS customers can now travel using only their mobile phone and with an ID card/passport.

SAS and Avinor are currently testing new technology that will result in major reductions in aircraft emissions. The first test was carried out at Tromsø airport August 11, and reduced emissions by 300 kilos of CO2.

The Extraordinary General Meeting held in SAS AB on 13-Mar-09 approved the resolution by the Board of Directors of 02-Feb-09 on a rights issue of ordinary shares. As communicated on 12-Mar-09, each share held on the record date 18-Mar-09 will entitle the holder to subscribe for 14 new shares at a subscription price of SEK2.63 per share.

AS Estonian Air, in which the SAS Group owns 49% of the shares, has resolved to conduct a rights offering of approximately EUR7.3 million in order to provide for additional liquidity to fund the future cash flow and capital requirements of the company.

SAS and American Express announced (05-Feb-09) a multi-year partnership arrangement. The agreement will include co-operation across several products and customer programmes. The partners will be investing in the development of future projects to provide mutual and benefits to both SAS and American Express customers.

SAS announced (23-Dec-08) two new summer destinations - Dubrovnik and Antalya. The service to Dubrovnik will operate on Wednesdays between 01-Jul-09 and 12-Aug-09, while the service to Antalya will operate on Tuesdays between 23-Jun-09 and 11-Aug-09.

SAS has announced to reduce fuel surcharges with EUR 3 on domestic, intrascandinavian and European flights. On intercontinental flights the surcharges will be reduced by EUR 5 between Europe and USA/Asia.

At the Annual General Shareholder's Meeting in SAS AB on 09-Apr-08, members of the Nomination Committee for SAS AB were appointed. SAS AB has now been informed that Danske Bank has substantially reduced its shareholding in SAS AB and that Danske Bank's nominated member, Henrik Norman, in accordance with the Instruction to the Nomination Committee decided by the Annual General Shareholder's Meeting, has made his seat available.

A dispute between Scandinavian Airlines Norway and the Norwegian Cabin Crew union NKF dating back to 2004 has been resolved by a, for SAS Group, negative ruling in the Norwegian court 2006. Since then, SAS group has been negotiating with NKF.
