SAS completes sale of Spanair

On 30-Jan, the SAS Group (SAS) reached an agreement with Initiatives Empresarials Aeronàutiques, SA (IEASA), a company comprising, Consorci de Turisme de Barcelona, Catalana d'Inciatives, Volcat 2009 and Fira de Barcelona, whereby IEASA would acquire a majority stake of 80.1% in SAS' subsidiary Spanair SA (Spanair) for a cash consideration of 1EUR.

Spanair releases Summer schedule

Spanair released (02-Feb-09) its new Flight Schedule for the Summer season, starting 29-Mar-09 and running to 24-Oct-09. In the summer season, Spanair will operate a total of 756 domestic weekly flights to/from Barcelona and 740 international flights; it will operate 660 international flights and 550 domestic flights to/from Madrid.

Spanair to reduce fuel surcharges on domestic services

SPAIN : Spanair has announced (21-Nov-08) to reduce fuel surcharges on its flights within the Spanish mainland because of the lower oil price. Spanair will reduce surcharges with EUR16 EUR.
