On 25-Oct-2009, Finnair moved to its winter schedule. The route selection has been expanded through winter flights to Istanbul, and changes have also been made on other individual routes.

Finnair Catering Oy and four white-collar staff unions have today concluded a fixed-term stabilisation agreement. The agreement mainly covers the 2010 cost-cutting and personnel adjustment targets for Finnair Catering's white-collar staff. The targets are part of a previously announced cost-cutting programme.

Finnair has entered into a cooperation agreement with F-Secure, the information security company. From the beginning of November, Finnair Plus customers can use their points to enhance their information security at the Finnair Plus Shop website www.finnarplusshop.com. At the Finnair Plus Shop, purchases can be paid for with cash as well as a combination of points and cash.

Finnair Plc has resolved to issue a EUR 120 million domestic hybrid bond. The coupon rate of the bond is 9.00% per annum. The bond has no maturity but the company may call the bond after four years. The bond was oversubscribed.

Finnair has joined the Aviation Global Deal (AGD) Group, which proposes a
global emissions trading deal. The goal of the AGD Group is to reduce emissions in aviation by means of a global sectoral agreement.

Finnair traffic decline in March by 8% compared with March last year. A weakening of demand reduced the average price per passenger kilometre by more than 13% in the first quarter of 2009. Business travel in particular has fallen sharply.
