Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has expanded its code-share agreement with Brussels Airlines to add the European cities of Marseille, Toulouse, Geneva and Vienna to its existing international network.

GERMANY :
With the introduction of the summer timetable on 29-Mar-09, Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines will provide many additional tangible benefits for their joint customers. Besides offering code-share services on cross-border flights between Germany and Belgium and to other destinations in Europe, the two airlines will launch a reciprocal frequent flyer arrangement, allowing members to earn and redeem miles throughout the partner’s network.

Etihad Airways is to extend further its expanding global network by providing its customers with access for the first time to destinations in Spain, following the expansion of its existing codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines of Belgium.

Starting on 29-Mar Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa will offer code share flights between Belgium and Germany. Customers will be able to combine flights of both airlines, which gives them a lot more departure and connection possibilities.

Brussels Airlines and time:matters, a company of Lufthansa Cargo have announced (11-Mar-09) their cooperation. Thanks to this new partnership, time:matters can now use Brussels Airlines flights departing from Brussels Airport for its “sameday” services, packages that are picked up and delivered throughout Europe on the same day.

Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines signed (13-Feb-09) an agreement allowing the carriers' frequent flyer customers access to each others respective airport lounge facilities. Members with Platinum status in the Belgian airline’s Privilege frequent flyer programme will be entitled to use all Lufthansa Senator and Business-Class lounges, worldwide.

The Supervisory Board of the Lufthansa Group has approved an agreement on a strategic investment in SN Airholding SA/NV, the parent company of Brussels Airlines. According to the agreement, Lufthansa will acquire a 45% stake in SN Airholding SA/NV for a price of EUR65 million in the first phase.

Lufthansa Chairman Wolfgang Mayrhuber and SN Airholding Chairman Etienne Davignon have signed an agreement, which initially envisages a strategic stake in SN Airholding SA/NV and, in a second step, the full integration of the Belgian carrier in the Lufthansa Group.
